Just found the time to play (!) Mincer City, it took me a while (75 mins) because I spent a lot of time wandering through the city. Just like everyone else, I got stuck halfway through the map and had to check this thread to find instructions on the way out. It reminded me a lot of WGCity, in a different style though, I also spotted a few Roch influences concerning the texturing that made for some nice eye-candy, without failing to look clean Thumbs up I was low on health the whole time, luckily I save my game a lot. I liked the design and the atmosphere, reinforced with the burning city in the background the whole time. I didn't think anything looked rush and thought you did a good job at hiding how you ran out of resources (except at the end maybe). The map did drag on for a bit too long, but the puzzles at the end were actually a nice change of pace, too many battlelords for my taste though (and tough enemies in general). The layout was a bit confusing but I actually love HUGE levels where you can get lost easily and lose track of everything for a while, so it didn't bother me, exploring is fun. All in all a great map Thumbs up Looking forwards to your next release, which looks just as promising in its own way

Kind of off topic, but why does the text below your avatar claim you made that logo when it's just a color shifted EDuke32 logo? Undecided

Actually I cut off the the lines of Eduke32 logo, then put my modifications to it, like adding different colours, shading and that sort of thing, but I still made it. Many of us already have avatar ripped or taken from the Internet, but my picture of avatar is nowhere else to be found on the net.

So, have something against it?  Undecided

Hey was finally able to finish off Mincer City. Liked it the best except for the lack of hints in the two areas already mentioned and discussed. Had played Resistance Rocks previously and liked it enough to put it in my stash or previously played maps. Demolition Plant needs some tweeking at the beginning. The two small med packs on the path where there is a drop down to the right and to the left to pools need to be changed into a large med pack (not the large bottle). Then, under the water on the right you have a single shotgun ammo, that needs to be 4 of them. It just takes too many shots to take out the number of Octabrains then Liztroopers to get to the next pool after the tunnels even if you make every shot count and be perfect.

So then it should say "edited by Razor" not made, as it's a modification of the EDuke32 logo.

You do not want to piss TX off, trust me on this.

In Demolition Plant, there are some newbeasts up on that high platform structure that has all the keycard elevators and turrets.  If you get shrunk by a newbeast while standing on a sprite bridge, you fall to the bottom of the canyon and then get stuck there.  I think you should either remove the newbeasts, or put some lava or something at the bottom to kill the player, or make it possible to escape from the canyon.

Hmm, never though of that. Perhaps I´ll put lava or mud there - it´s quite simple solution, easy to do and doesn´t feel cheap.

That´s what I´m hoping for, too. Thank you. My next map won´t possibly include as big or as lagging areas to see, but surely OK details and wide open areas. This time I hope I won´t face the map construction limits again.
