Well, i think fifth map is now ready! now i just have to expand third map a bit - as i said its really TOO SMALL (i could finish it in few minutes).

I will have to think about secret level too, maybe i will scrach something from my previous maps - i've done few for dukematches, but i dislike them - they had much errors, and weren't too detailed, but i had some good ideas, now i haven't too much of them ;P

And i got question for You guys, which boss would you use - first, second or third? As i said boss fight is in ruined city, during rainstorm. I can't decide Tongue

And one more thing - how do you think, better to use original music or put some new?

Imo a Battlelord is better, because of the 2 others it's WAY too easy to avoid their rockets by strafing.
But I think you should make the boss fight interesting not just by the choice of the boss itself, but with the layout of the boss level. For example make it so that you have to go look for ammo around the map for ammo/health instead of mindlessly shooting and starfing the boss for a couple of minutes before he dies. Put other enemies there (and perhaps even some mini-Blords depending on how the map is).
Imo the worst thing you could do is have an Overlord in a small boring arena, like at the end of ep2.

As far as musics are concerned, I'd say it depends on each map and their spirit/mood, and just from a few screenshots it's really hard to have a clear idea.

I too think that Battlelord is the least bad choice.

As for the music, there are plenty of good tracks among the originals, so just pick the ones that suit the mood. On the other hand, if you've got some killer midis, put those in, but try not to include anything too disturbing.

I could create music for each map, if you allow me to beta test them (that way I can find out what kind feeling/mood/atmosphere there actually is). You can see my email in my profile, if interested. Remember, I will make music into .OGG format (better audio format) not MIDI. Don´t worry, Eduke32 supports it, if you didn´t know that.  Azn

Music sample; audio quality is bit bad, but I couldn´t use any better quality because of the file size and I didn´t want to attach it to any other site.  Tongue

But aren't you required to download OpenAL drivers for that?

The problem is that the average player may be too lazy to do that.

Not with the latest EDuke32 snapshots, the driver part is done/built internally into EDuke.

Yeah, that's been the case for a long time now.  Six months or more I think.

Pretty much around the time that bad sound bug showed it's ugly head. (bad times)
But we (I hope) are past that now.

I have been working over hidden level a bit. I decided it to be another night level (i like night and things like that Wink ). Its pretty hard for me to find good ideas, for right now on map are molo, metro station (2 stations, and track sector), and just-started city. Now im going to work over that city, i already have few ideas, but we will see how it will look like...

This will be sixth level of episode, and last one - it will be secret level, accesible from level 4. I think episode will be fully ready when i end this map, and add a bit details, polish this and that, and basibly fix any bugs i will find on every map. Episode will be medium length. (It will be my first relased episode, and even map! for Duke!, previously i've been creating few maps, but i haven't relased anyone)

Here are screens from map, that i'm currently working on:
This one above is just started city part i wrote about. I decided to put it there, to show what kind of map is actually is.
Corona on image above is liztroop teleportation thingy (it just teleported when i pressed screen key -_-')
