The map is not bad, maybe even slightly better than 1999Russia.

I can swear you mention my name for every two posts you make. I told you we wont have a date because i´m married  Grin

You should check the map, btw. There's a funny reference to you.

I've already earned that special privilege in one of his maps. When I have time I'll play this, look at the wasted potential, and move on.

I dunno what makes this map into a hottie, but it seems like total crap to me with its lame texturing, repetitive design, lack of proper shading and boring gameplay with unlogical puzzles etc. As well as HoM artifacts everywhere and even a "water squish" bug. The bizarre part would be cool if not so random and sloppy. Considering map's zero conceptual grandness, its actual rating could hardly even reach 70 imo.

The score is relative. If you look at some of the 70ish maps in Maps section you should understand why this map is a hottie.

Even though it doesn't seem like it, 86 is still a long way from a 90+ map. All good maps score within the 85-99 range so there isn't that much variance in scores.

Luckily i didnt have to waste too much time on this. The ¨joke¨ was near the beginning. A joke ripped from Clear the Coast like anything else on this crap. As much as i could see the guardrails and wiring posts were cheap imitations of the ones i put in Blown Fuses and RushBack. And well, everything else seemed to be copied from here and there, i.e. example Red3.

You have no talent sanek. Do something else, mapping is not for you  Smiley

I didn't find anything "fun" about this map. Who ever enjoys having redundant, toe-to-toe fights with mini-battlelords and a lack of health to recover from them needs help. The formula was a repeat of 1999russia (which, btw, I found way better than this one). The duke-head stairway is in another map, I just don't remember the name of it off the top of my head. The whole map was full of sloppy work, poorly or improperly used textures, invisible barriers that made no sense, next to no shading, and like most of Sanek's work, just seemed like I was running around in a large box full of smaller boxes. The underwater area wasn't lined up properly with the above water area, so the player would come up where the dirt is and it caused a squish bug. The "hole" in the roof worked going down, but coming up it caused a "bounce" bug where the player bounces up and down between the bottom (inside the building) and the top (outside). I don't see how this one can be considered a hottie. There's more wrong with it than right.

Keep trying Sanek, we know you never make mistakes and we're all out to get you.  Thumbs up

I think there are several levels in the 'map' section that are better then this one. I wouldn't call this a hotmap, but it's your opinion of course.

I also encountered the squish bug in the water, I just forgot to mention it.. Another example of something that can be fixed with ease.
As for the battlelord: use the trees for cover!

That works for the first one. There was no cover for the second one. The third? one you popped up on the roof, were boxed in from going backwards behind the building by a pig cop and a trooper so I ended up getting blasted from every direction with nowhere to go, the fourth? mini-battlelord the only cover was that pillar in the middle of the room full of eggs. There were so many of those things in frustrating scenarios that I lost count.

btw: if you look at the texture and the parallaxing you'd realize those are sky & star generator rocks, not trees.

Gosh.I shocked.I do not understand why such a bad attitude to the map. It's primarily not respect to me.Mikko contemptuous of me, and for him my maps mean nothing.
With Forge all understandable.Gambini,of course, satisfied - "yeah, map of this freak is failed,yeah!".Bastard.I was also shocked by Lezing(Craigfatman). You are just a bunch of snickering bastards...
