I also hope the one-day episode gets released sometimes soon, I quite like the level I made for that one (and the other levels as well).  Wink

yeah it will, it's definitely too good to fall into oblivion forever

anyway I'm glad to see a roster emerging, I guess I'll go start working on my part right now, this is going to be pretty fun if we go for a rather psychedelic approach especially because I'm a bit drunk right now so the results should be just fine

What exactly prevents us from releasing it? The last time I checked, it was because Meth wanted to make another level, but even without it we'd still have "plenty". No reason to put it on hold indefinitely when it's basically in a releasable condition (did you ever get around to making the boss map?).

Ohh, I would like to join, it looks like it could be fun.

Just saying this now in order to prevent hassle: you're not supposed to start building anything until you receive the map from whoever goes before you. Your own CBP project seems a bit chaotic with everyone building at the same time with no concern over sector limits.

nahhh no boss map yet in the episode, and there's another map for it that I started just after Meatball Sub Making that I put a few hours of work in that's on hold as well. As soon as I can find the time it's in my plans to finish it, make the boss map (originally I would have liked to have four simple ones, one for each boss, that the player could choose to enter to finish the episode differently, but that might be pushing it, I do have good specific ideas for each though so who knows) then release it, it's a project that I really back and want to see released so I'll get at it sooner or later, as said before I'm low on spare time right now but maybe sometime this summer idk

You can add me to the roster too if you need more people for the project. Doesn't matter where I hit the rotation as long as it isn't first. Never done an "alien" theme.

I'll be limited to a Saturday or (preferably) a Sunday because I want to do all of my two hours in one sitting this time.

Awesome. I'm doing mine in two, I've already built for a full hour, taking a little break right now, I'll have more time tomorrow morning I think. It's pretty unique so far, not as wild as I was expecting, but I plan on using my second hour to basically wreck everything I spent the first one building

My part is done, sending it to WG. I have yet to add the lotags in my doors / elevators and ambient sounds, but that's something that can wait until I get the map back when everyone is done with their part, before the final release

IMO stuff like that doors and elevators should be done before sending, IMO everything should be done for the sake of testing.
I will try to add something, but I hope I can play it even though your doors and elevators are not working. Doors and elevator lotags take seconds to add.  Cry

Edit: I'm going to add switches and finish your doors and add gameplay so I can get my part to work the way I want. Mapped 10 mins so far, I do like the theme, I will try to work with it.

Edit: I have done my first hour, added gameplay and my new area, will use my next hour to fine tune the new stuff then send it on.  Thumbs up

Yeah sorry about the doors / elevators, I built everything the way I normally do (with my last few maps I've developed the bad habit of waiting until I'm done with all the layout / design to then add the lotags all at once), I didn't really think that it could be a problem, I should have been more cautious seeing as this is a joined project, my bad. Anyway cool to hear about the progress Thumbs up

Cool I have finished my part, added game play and sounds, MRCKS Doors need sounds still though.

Not sure if we use keycards/doors which you will reach later, but I rather don't wanna have Merlijn en mine parts bended togheter - otherwise it becomes another big Oostrum part again Tongue

Yeah Maarten I think it could be a good idea to let you do the final sections (not sure whether or not it should be a boss fight, but we'll see), I'm sure you'll be able to come up with something epic. But then the list would look something like this :

What does that mean ? You've already built it ? or thought out even though you haven't seen the map yet ? not the best idea in my opinion

Yeah, Shawneth, you're not supposed to build until you get the map, which is when you get to use two hours of build time to build your part, which is supposed to fit with the established theme, i.e., alien world.
