We're here to serve and convey. Wink

If somebody manages to discover more sites with Duke maps available, please don't hesitate to pester me.
I'll add your link and give you proper credit. (Maybe a month old fruit from Kim's basket as well).

What's wrong with Fileplanet?

This should still be active: http://rapidshare.com/files/97029580/AvD-Rescue.rar

I agree. I've had an account with Fileplanet for years, never had to wait in queues and going through a couple of 'pages of red tape' is always worth getting something that I want. I can understand the aversion people might have with hugely popular files on FP, but for Duke stuff I've found it to be fine.

I hate Fileplanet myself, but it works perfectly fine. Its a personal preference against it, but I've also been using it for years.

Maybe Sanek doesn't want to go through the hassle of giving away his e-mail address to set up a free account. I never get any spam from them but I agree, Fileplanet can be a slight annoyance when you're trying to download something. Although they do have a large collection of maps, over 3,000 I think at  http://www.fileplanet.com/31975/0/section/Duke-Nukem-3D
Apply at the front desk. Endless patience required.

You can't. Those are commercial releases.
However, you can download a demo release of Duke!Zone II. You can find it almost anywhere.

There's something very funny about having a thread at DNR about where to download Duke maps.  Roll Eyes

^Because there is so many maps available.
But most of them doesn't make it into our repository.
However, there is many Dukers who wanna try out those links for them selves . Maybe it's possible to stumble across a good map that isn't well known.

Haha, I think you misunderstood me.  I thought it was funny because it is TRUE -- there are tons of maps you can't get here, including good and well known ones.  You mentioned stumbling across a good map that isn't well known, but what about famous maps like ROCH 5-8 ?  You can't even find those here.  Why is that?  I'm sure the bottleneck is that they have to be reviewed first.  But that very dumb imo.  Just put the maps up with a note that says, "Review Pending".  Go to MSDN and see all the good maps Mikko has that aren't here, then put them up here with "Review Pending" and you'd be doing a great service to the community.  MSDN is actually a better site in terms of the maps available, but it is not well-organized like DNR is.
